Kotaku has continued their leak of images & details for the next Call of Duty game. The game will also feature two Spec-Ops multiplayer game modes, Survival (featuring the maps Carbon, Dome, Radar, Seatown, and Village) and Mission (featuring the missions Civilian Rescue, Flood the Market, Invisible Threat, Little Bro's, Out of Africa, No Fly Zone, and Wing Man).
Activision officially announed the game today, and released the first teaser trailer on the Modern Warfare 3 Facebook page.
Picking up where Modern Warfare 2 left off, the game begins just as Russia launches a surprise attack on the United States. Protagonists Soap MacTavish and John Price are on the run with Russian informant Nikolai. Six months pass, and the Russian President's plane is attacked while on a peace-seeking mission to the U.S. Players control a Russian security agent while trying to protect the Russian President and his daughter. Soap, Price, and Yuri are in Africa searching for Makarov, and come across an arms dealer who tells them Makarov is attempting to buy chemical weapons from him. Price is successful and learns Makarov's "right hand man", Volk, is in Paris.
Hamburg, Germany comes under attack by the Russians while players control a U.S. tank gunner attempting to stop the Russian advance. The game ends with the stage set to shift the focus of future Modern Warfare games from the veteran characters of Task Force 141 to the new members of Delta Squad.
Activision and studios Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games have unveiled the first full trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
