Providing animal control services for New Orleans Louisiana SPCA resumes

New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu announced today that the Humane Society of Louisiana continues to provide animal control for the city in 2011 a new attempt in four years of cooperation.

The Humane Society has provided services for more than 60 years, but recently the two sides collapsed talks on a new agreement because the organization has said it could not offer the service of the City of $ 1,700,000 in 2011.

Under the new agreement, the City has pledged to increase that number to 1.92 millions.

Under the new agreement, the LA / SPCA $ 160 000 per month or $ 1,920,000 each year the consumer prices will be respectively paid in January for all animal control services with annual adjustments of the index.
